Because certain spots at Devils Garden Bird Park are historically better for spotting particular types of birds . . . and because beginning and intermediate birders always appreciate information, we’re creating a series of signs which will serve as field guides.
Each sign will be placed in a location where you’re likely to spot the bird featured on it. From the verbiage, our guests will be able to see the bird’s characteristics,
from identifying traits
to breeding patterns to diet.
Cornell Lab of Ornithology is one of the resources we’re using for our information. What a great website they have!
We’re working hard on the signs now, which will be really useful for wild bird identification. Once the signs are made and put into place, we’ll add a photo so you can see what they look like.
